Many people wait for tomorrow to improve themselves. They also postpone their actions for the future, but the reality is that this ‘tomorrow’ keeps extending indefinitely. As the saying goes, ‘Tomorrow, tomorrow – it stretches on forever.’
Another old proverb says, ‘The lazy will carry mountains.’ This refers to those who delay today’s tasks for tomorrow, ultimately burdening themselves unnecessarily.
It’s not those who make decisions but those who act on them that find success in life. There is no need to wait for tomorrow to start improving. What isn’t started today cannot be completed tomorrow. Everything begins in this very moment. If one fails to recognize the value of the present, the worth of future time will remain elusive.
The only certainty we have is today. Those who don’t seize today may not have a tomorrow. If you want fruit from a tree, you must plant the sapling, water it, and nurture it today – not dream of doing it tomorrow. To harvest tomorrow, you must sow today.
Some people’s successes are often dismissed as luck. Their achievements are labeled as accidental, and they are seen as fortunate. However, a closer look into their lives reveals something crucial – they have mentally prepared and worked towards such accomplishments long before they materialized. Quiet preparations were underway within them.
Recognition often comes to those consistently working on various things, and the results may appear coincidental to outsiders. However, this perception may arise because we failed to understand their efforts or appreciate them until their success became visible.
Those who succeed don’t usually announce their ambitions loudly. But internally, they hold a vision and work silently and effectively toward it. They utilize the present moment to the fullest.
Without today, there is no tomorrow.
