SOME USEFUL TIPS ON A HEALTHY DIET

Food is health. If you want to live a healthy life, you need to pay special attention to food. We get the energy we need for our body through food. This energy is derived from three elements. Carbohydrates, protein and fat. When eating a good meal, it should be taken care that 50% of the energy of carbohydrates, 20% of protein, and 30% of fat is included in your diet. In short, you should avoid excessively oily, fatty, and sweet foods.

A balanced diet should be consumed. The food must contain all the vitamins and minerals required for the body, one must consume food moderately. Don’t overeat, no matter how tasty it is. Eating a healthy amount of food several times a day is better than eating three large meals. It helps in improving the energy and metabolism of the body. Breakfast should be healthy. A light lunch is best. Eat dinner before eight o’clock. Dinner should be taken two hours before sleep. If you lie down immediately after eating, most of the food will remain undigested. Eating two servings of vegetables and one serving of leafy greens is good. Fruits are better eaten whole than juiced.

The use of salt should be only one teaspoon a day. The food should be chewed slowly. When you feel full, stop eating. Do not eat in front of the television or computer. It will lead to overeating. Eight glasses of water should be drunk a day. It can be just plain water, buttermilk, coconut water, etc. But don’t drink water while eating, you can drink water before eating. Otherwise, drink water half an hour after eating.

Take care to eat according to the weather. Cool foods should be eaten during summer.

A good diet should be accompanied by a good amount of exercise.
