Can a honey-less flower attract beetles? Will anyone be led towards an unloving person?
An urge to live comes from the conviction that there is someone to love you and you have someone to love. If a person has all the material things one would desire for and still feels an emptiness within, it means he does not receive love – in the way he desires.
We have heard about some celebrities, who fell prey to depression and committed suicide even while they were in the midst of thousands of fans. That is because they are not loved as they desire or they do not receive love from the one they love.
Even while you have everyone else, the love of a beloved person should enfold you. You should be able to experience trust and care in that person’s love. It is like the affection of a mother for her new-born baby. When you lie on that person’s chest, you will feel like you are covered by a soft quilt. It is a kind of slavery which says: ‘where can I go away from you?’
If you want to be loved, you must love first. To get love, you must primarily be ready to give love. Love is giving yourself to the beloved unconditionally. It is an unreserved surrender. It is goodness.
Nobody can defeat a loving person, who is capable of loving. He is strong within. It does not mean that he will always be accepted or respected. It also does not mean that he will not be wounded nor put aside. His love need not be praised everywhere as well.
There may be many things for a person to be proud of. Nevertheless, the foremost thing he should be proud of should be his capability to love. He should value his ability to love.
Ability to love is greater than all the rest of our talents. There are many persons here, who are unable to love. There are also people who do not know how to express their love.
Although everyone has an equal right to live, all are not equally lovable. This difference exists among persons in the matter of receiving love and exchanging love as well.
Love is not like investing in speculation and the share market. Love is an asset, in which you never incur a loss. You will have its returns with interest and compound interest. When you love sincerely, do not calculate what you will get in return. Instead, think only about what you can give.
Love well and you will be loved well. This is a world where no one who loved well has ever failed.
I have not hurt you the way you have hurt me. I have not neglected you the way you have neglected me. I have not avoided you the way you have avoided me. Because, no one has loved you the way I have loved you.
It is true that you have many friends. There are many persons, who have their right over you. I have no claims to gain a place anywhere in your life. Still, I know that no one has ever loved you the way I have loved you. You belonged to each of them differently. But for me, you were just one thing: love. O my love!
In this world, I do not desire anyone but you; even in heaven, I do not want anything but you!
